You are a Star...

Star that is so far..

You are a star,far far away

Which shines and glows but is never nearby

I feel your warmth, just by gazing at you

It makes me feel like you are soothing me from far

I want to reach you, to share with, to talk to you 

And to tell you how I feel each and everyday I live..

But no matter how much I yearn I can never be near you..

For you are bright and shiny and I am forlorn and far..

You've used such a beautiful metaphor. Sometimes in our life we meet with people who are just like the stars, shining brightly high above us. Either they are ones we love or those who are our source of inspiration, they always brightens our life and gives a meaning to strive to go higher higher and higher to reach them.

Such a beautiful piece. It can be very hard when you want someone so much it hurts, yet you can't have them. Being able to find comfort in just being around them is a wonderful thing, but can be hard itself. I might be off-base but that's how this made me feel. Nice job
