You Gave Me the Reason

You Gave Me the Reason

A Poem by Northend

In the depths of regret,
I lost what was me,
I had nothing left,
I lost what i was trying to hold on to.
I had thought that i had nothing left to lose.

Then you reached out your hand,
Gave me life,
Gave me reason,
When i had no reason to keep walking,
When i was so lost in my own
Self hate,
You brought me out into the light,
Out of the darkness

You gave me the reason to walk
You gave me the reason to live
You gave me the reason to breathe

So I give my self to you,
I give what is left of me to you,
for you brought me out into the sun again.
when i thought i could never see it again.

Are the lowercase i's meant to represent something? I like your poem, I feel it's very sad. I can relate myself. Hang in there.
