Collaborations are common, let's make a Writer's Cafe first
Let's write a romance poem, day to day, and verse by verse
In the time we've known each other, our poetry has spoken
Now let's share the words between us, and the feelings we've awoken

 

First reviews connected, both curious for more
Then others' read requests were suddenly a chore
Shared views emerged on a vast array of things
Emotions effervescing, our souls grew wings

 

I came here seeking clarity, to write to ease my mind
to meet a kindred spirit, the last thing I'd hoped to find
But I came across your profile, and the smile just reeled me in
the first review was mine I think, and thus it did begin

It's instinctive soul-food, to feel 'connected' we all crave
Subconscious yearnings behind those first reviews we gave
But what's the game on this Writers Cafe, 'connected' how?
Aroused in mind and emotion, but not 'the here and now'

Now we're no hapless teenage lovers with only hormones raging

there's hesitance and uncertainty, borne of experience and aging

Let's proceed with caution, slowly dip our toes into the tide

who knows where this may lead us, but we're game to take the ride

Words flowed so easily, our first liaison by the sea

Spirits soared in synchronicity, like it's meant to be 

On here we've no duties or commitments stopping us

We fulfill our fantasies with minimum of fuss

But will such passion survive when lifted from the screen?

When virtual must get real, will our ardor be so keen?

Can any such intensity stay fervent, but remote?

Well it's up to you dear readers, it's time to take a vote

This poem is such a great description of what happens here with many on the writerscafe.org. Some have even found their 'soul mates' and got married after meeting here. I can vouch for at least three such couples. I think this place is as good as any other dating or social networking site if you want to try and predict where a relationship may go after starting here. I feel a relationship beginning at the cafe though has some distinct advantages such as knowing each other deeply through words. Having said that, people have to face the harsh realities of a regular relationship if they want to still go ahead after testing the waters. At the end, every relationship is different.

this is a great piece of writing. As for where do u go from here, well tht depends on the people involved. Search ourselves and if the connection is real from any point, then u'll come to a conclusion(whether it is one tht is desired or not), that allows u to maintain some form of respect and love. :)
