I'm either selfish or stupid

I'm either selfish or stupid

A Poem by NotYourChinaDoll

Devoted to being what I most desired

Determined to be someones dream

Perhaps there is a reason that dreams aren't real

They're all just out of reach

Let down, or get let down

It seems just give or take

So who was it in their childhood days

Who taught them not to share?

I've been trying to think of a way to fix the last two lines so they flow better...any suggestions?

This is a very nice piece. Very cleverly constructed. I think your unease with the last two lines might be because of your use of pronouns. The first part you use "I" then without a transition the second part refers to "them". It confused me a little. I hope this helps.

So I gotta tell you. This is an awesome piece.
The second half was my favorite and could stand as a poem on it's own
"Let down, or get let down
It seems just give or take
So who was it in their childhood days
Who taught them not to share?"
Anyways, amazing write. Keep up the great work!

Maybe the last line could be "That taught them of evil ways?"

Anyway, I really like this, and I don't think you need to change anything :)
