Be yourself

Title says it all

A rush of pure emotion
Every Time i say his name
Butterflies are deep inside
I'm ready to play this game

Not too keen, not too shy
Is how I'm meant to act
I really can't be arsed with this
So I won't be doing that

I'll show him who I really am
And see what he thinks of me
I think I really like this guy
I wonder what will be...

4 years later, just look at me
With my love still by my side
So glad I took that leap of faith
I didn't run and hide

So one day when I'm older
I'm sure my daughter will ask
Mum help! I don't know what to do
And I'll say "Darling....just put down the mask".

I loved it. I honestly, don't see anything wrong with this piece.
I loved the topic again, I love your writing so much.
Rhyming is great, comes naturally doesn't feel forced at all.
I loved the ending, about taking of the mask, you don't need to change, or pretend to be someone else, to get someone to like you.
They have to like you for you, faults and all.
