7 Deadly Sins Sonnets -#3 Lust

This is the third of seven sonnets concerning the Seven Deadly Sins, as defined by the Catholic Church. They are older poems that I wrote in High School.

Uncontrollable desire for flesh

The desire to have many women.

It goes to your head and makes you caddish.

It can be very hard to stop when

You have realized just how much you have sin.

You have been unfaithful to your true love.

You know, she won’t know where you have been

With the innocence of the baby dove.

Self control is the virtue few have now.

Uncontrolled desire makes you stupid

You cause more grieve then you could ever know.

You get hit hourly by the cupid.

All you can be is undependable.

Third deadly sin, Lust is horrible.

Again now and know don't rhyme when spoken aloud, Although you may be fine keeping them since they look good when written. As always I recommend checking Syllable counts. And to make this collection of deadly sins more unique and entertaining, why not try and think up an 8th one? I could help you on this, but I am assuming it would be more a fulfilling thing to do on your own; truly making it your own. After all, how often do you see a collection of '7 deadly sins' finish off with a completely unlisted one?

Thanks for the reviews. I did not change or edit them before I posted, so they have lots of errors from when I was in High School and a worse writer. I will probably rewrite them. I like the idea of an 8th poem, maybe to wrap it up.
