Words Gone Missing

Please return if found.

The words are missing

They have disappeared

And I can not find them

Anywhere.

I miss them dearly

And only want them to come home

To fester inside me

Where they belong.

I can't hear their voices

As they scream their meaning

Until I listen

And cease their teeming.

Where'd they go?

I couldn't tell you

All I know

Is that they aren't there anymore.
