I put that man through hell and back

I put that man through hell and back

A Poem by Rosegal95
"

How things are more than likely going to happen with the man I marry.

"
I put that man through hell and back.
Yet he waited.
He waited just for me.
He knew I was the one.
He knew that He needed to just be patient.
Yet I put that man through hell and back.
He waited while I saw other men.
While I did things with other men that would one day break his heart.
While I became the type of person he hates the most.
He waited.
I put that man through hell and back.
While he went to bed alone,
I slept with other men in my bed.
while he prayed over me,
I prayed to die.
I put that man through hell and back.
While he  begged God for someone else,
I begged God for a man just like him.
While he tried to move on,
I stayed in his mind.
I put that man through hell and back.
Everytime he saw my face,
Everytime he heard my name,
Everytime he thought of me,
He asked god: "Why?"
I put that man through hell and back.
I never thought twice about him.
I never was concerened with him.
I never wanted him.
He was too good for me.
I put that man through hell and back.
While he prayed day in and day out for me,
I hardly even knew his name.
I was too messed up to care.
Yet he loved me from afar anyways.
While I put that man through hell and back,
He continued to listen.
He continued to love me.
Because he knew that someday...
To hell and back, would be worth it.

Poem is so relatable at times we are not ready for the next step but its sure is good to have the same person by our sides as we figure it out. Great poem.
