Whisper

The wind blew east, and since then found me.
The wind blew west, and since then left me.
The wind blew south, and since then betrayed me.
The wind blew north, and since then questioned me.

Asked me, if I wanted another adventure.
Spoke of hidden treasures, beauty.
Whispered devious secrets of a get-rich-scheme.
Told me everything would be OK.

The wind blew west, and told me he loved me.
As it did south, and since then abandoned me.
But when it blew east, it told me they hated me.
Would it blow north, and then just leave me?

Regretting.

Never speaking of curiosities, ambition, or the next step.
Locking my shut window behind every step.
Only allowing me to cower in the idea of ambition.
Only simplifying my curiosity to the point of, I-don’t-wanna- know.

So just perfect me,
Turn it around, point the pistol and just shoot three.
Deliver this, deliver me into a get-rich-scheme.
Tell me everything will be OK.
But after your done lying, please,
whisper secrets of a hidden treasure.
Into some beautiful day.

…the skies were gray this morning.

So today I told the wind to shove it;
straight up it’s windpipe and then just smoke it.
Fog it’s dusty adventure with sandstorms and twisters.
Blur it’s hidden agenda and forthcoming's.

Cuz with only your glasses would I then glimpse,
towards regrets, who’d happily crave adventure.

I like the use of weather to make your point in this poem. Funny what we remember after the pain and regret fade away. A strong ending to a excellent poem.

Great reference to the wind and the directions as a metaphor for life experiences.

Awesome imagery and irony. And the allusion of the wind and direction to a better path was creative and imaginable. Love it.
