Stand Up

We all turn around when were feelin' down,
To amidst in the sadness that were all around,
Tearin' off bits and pieces of our silver crown,
To end up somethin' strange or end up being drown.

We all have dreams, that feel so alive,
In our hearts, in our heads, where it never dies,
Bound anger, freedom, doubt, how it wills it's drive,
In our souls creepin' slowly, to the darker sky.

Rushed in the mornin, wakin' late for work,
S****y job, s****y pay, pullin' work-n'- jerk,
You couldn't get better than, another clerk,
7.50, 30 hours IS the f****n' perk.

Home with 6 kids, and another due,
In a shelter, in a hole, nothing really new,
You wish God woulda warned you what you'd get into.
Maybe shown a glimpse or different view.

Cuz everyday folks feel like they're f****n' raped,
Then just stay all-shame, with no other shape
Just bindin' their lives with a piece of tape,
Buryin' themselves whole, with no real escape...

Drowndin' their souls down inside em',
Tryin' to hide, only finds em',
Bruised by the taste of any wisdom,
Is what you've always ran so afraid from.

So understand, comprehend what it isn't.
Stay clear of passing trains, and from prison.
Stay brains, not a victim, keep commission.
Find hope in your life and you've risen.

In short...
Bendin' over backwards, sometimes; is a hard job.
Hardest job ever, makes your head throb.
If you grow turn the knob, then you'll see light.
Through every door, every mile; till it feels right.

Everday folks get sick, hurt, shot, tortured, raped,
Then just stay all-shame, no care, no other shape
Just bindin' their lives with some bullshit scotch tape,
Burying themselves whole, with no other escape...

this part hit home
