Made Happy

 

Have you ever sat-down;
just to place your heart between your arms?

To find frustration, complication;

on the cracks of your finger-nails?

Conducted in the crevices of your teeth.

Played out in orchestra, caused dental abrasion.

With every thought, glance, and movement.

 

Have you ever looked up…?

...just to stare back down at your feet?

Walking through the seasons of your past.

To only question your life;

to only question your future.

 

Have you ever seen happiness?

Just to lean forward, sit kick-backed, parked;
against a perfectly good book?

One who reads the weather, whether not;

doesn't always justify why their times find misfortune.

Prayers never answered, for a sudden break in rain.

It comes to show, that those who know;

don’t really think the same.

 

Shouldn’t just comply, wouldn’t just identify,

why;

everything’s so complicated.

It must be, cuz you’ll never be a happy.

With me, you’ll never feel complete.

Never whole, choosing not to be.

 

So fly free, in my opinion,

just flee;

 into a place where you’ll feel most secure.

Nurtured by your same culture.

Into a place, where no one can bother you.

In a moment, at its perfect glance;

another chance, and a change;

to rearrange, what’s so broken.

What’s so, fucked up,

What I couldn’t hold so happy.
