Bleed Out

Bleed Out

A Poem by Mary E. Green
"

The pain takes over...

"
Buy another shot
Cut another line
Have you reached your breaking point?
Let the tears fall and the sobs wrack your body as the pain is too much to bear
Stick that knife a little deeper please
It doesn't yet hurt that bad
Why don't you sharpen it up?
Make it hurt some more
It will be okay in the end
Go ahead and watch your dreams go up in flames
As the fire licks at your skin, kissing your soul
Can you make it hurt a little more?
I'm not quite at the end yet, I need that pain to go a little farther
Can you cut a little deeper, please?
It's not quite the ecstasy I need
Will you stab me a little more?
Let it go on, I swear I will be okay one of these days
So why don't you go ahead and plunge the machete into my skin, watch me bleed out, watch me die, you'll get the joy from the pain.
