Wood House

Wood House

A Poem by Odayin

Our friendship is a wood house,
Jealousy has come to town.
Sneaking and scurrying like a mouse,
It threatens the house to go down.
It was the reason of which we fought,
The house has flames licking it's wood.
You think its over but it's not,
Cuz I'll build a castle where that house stood.

Why is it that I see lies tearing down this house...from the inside out...one can't catch the boards fast enough to apologize for the seething wrongs done...so many till finally all that remains are splinters of what had once been snug..warm..cozy..full of love. However, this last part:
"You think its over but it's not,
Cuz I'll build a castle where that house stood."
Resembles to me...the most forgiving soul imaginable...the steady beat of a heart so strong that they can make more out of what once seemed to be everything. "Wood House" fragile but soft. The Castle...foraging something greater from the experience of loosing it all.. :) (just that darker opinion trying to find the light...)

Like the emotion in this. That last line. "Cuz I'll build a castle where that house stood," gives me chills. I can see the "wood house," the "friendship" burning. Very well written, very raw and real. Nicely done.
