By Night

By Night

A Poem by Odrah
"

A chance to meet in dreams.

"
Have you seen the stars, my love
Like royalty in the sky
Cloaked in their dazzling mantle
They watch and they guide
They guide my soul to you.

Time is the illusionist's tool
But starlight unveils
And night brings nearer
The remedy to our heartache
A chance to dream together.

All of this, my dear
The world that surrounds
The distance that divides
Is no more than a final winter storm
Crashing through our hearts
And leaving Spring in its wake.

Tomorrow when the sun
Has overthrown the moon
We will rise with hope
Comforted by thoughts of each other
And the dreams we shared by night.

Some thoughts....
"Time is the illusionist's tool..." great line. Stars are an illusion of time, as well. As we still see a star even long after its death, thus it has then cheated time.

Much can be made of time and love outside of time....but I ramble..

I enjoyed reading.

I felt a great perennial theme in this, like astronomy and life and the cosmos racing down centuries. Great write!
