The Modified World

In this day in age everything is now modified, to either "make it better" or make it last longer" but this isn't always good for us... this poem shows just a few examples why.

A wonderful distraction, 

as all the time in world passes, 

populated by the masses, 

surplus, 

extractions, 

slap it in a package, 

add a label, 

ship it to the states, 

and collect your paper.

But the masses do not need it, 

yet they still eat it, 

disease sickens them, 

and then confusion keeps them,

just where they want you to be, 

a doctor's office with another script, 

paying money to get better, 

yet they are the ones who made you sick.

Mutations lead the way, 

additives and preservatives make it last longer they say, 

but once it enters your body how long does it stay?

will they tell you?

no way, 

there's side effects to every medicine you take, 

did you know modified food works the same way?

You can not tell me it doesn't, 

when the pesticide is sprayed on the food, 

it's to keeps bugs off of it, 

if it was good, 

dont you think the bugs would eat it?

yet, when you get your vegetables you dont even clean them.

If you dont need it, 

leave it, 

if you think it's bad for you,

then you best believe it, 

not everything you need to know is written in a book,

sometimes it's best to stop listening to what your told and actually take a look..
