Acid

Acid

A Poem by Chloe

Sing the song of willows

Let the pain begin to fade

Allow the fake relief to take over

The mind sets into content

Let the numbness begin to fade

Feel the air leave the lungs

The jasmine scent no longer appealing

Panic arrives, as fast as the poison

Copper invades the senses

Pain too great to express

Minds become hazy with confusion

The cure becomes the killer

Sing the song of willows

Let the pain begin to fade

Simply amazing. Leaves a thousand questions and this is what makes this a poem written by a real poet.

Yikes! You can feel the slow approach of Death here. Nice

Extremely well written Chloe! Pain is always so hard to bare, we find anything to cope with it! Not to feel......something we all wish we wouldn't have to do but alas we must for pain teaches us healing, teaches us a deeper sense of understanding! Excellently written, always love your creativity! Thank you so much hun for sharing!

You only need mantras - when you NEED them...

Not what I expected for a poem titled "Acid." I definitely thought this was going to be more raw rather than riddling. I don't think that this is one of your best, but I greatly loved the line below:

"The cure becomes the killer"

That caught my attention and I really like it. Pretty good job.

This is so clever! I love when we can learn through art. And even though I've got the meaning, it's the kind of piece that you could also get your own personal interpretations, I think. "The cure becomes the killer" - this is so true.
Absolutely inspiring!
