Void-Less

Void-Less

A Poem by Olivia Marie

Void-less space between us
Soft lips grazing across my cheek bone
Strong, warm arms hold me close
Your breath moving across my skin

Words unspoken, but understood
Unexpected need grasping at my heart
Pulling you tighter
Afraid to let go

I bury my head in my chest
You bring your head lower to mine
Our eyes connect
Slowly, falling deeper into each other

Our lips find each other
My blood begins to pump through my veins
Life begins to pour into my heart
Finally I can truly breathe again

thank you :)
The best thing about this writing is that (although I'm aware that you probably didn't intend this) is that it's genderless and could apply to males and females. I think you have captured the beauty and tension that can universally be felt in a kiss. Also, the last line is captivating. Good work!
