Untouchable

Untouchable

A Poem by Omikron

Untouchable

Undeniably... fading

Failing hands, failing legs

Whispers, voices

Did they always sound so miserable?

Untouchable

Undeniably...translucent

Floating with hands tied

Swimming to the dusk

Swimming... in darkness

Spinning...in darkness

Untouchable

Undeniably...forgotten

No memory of this silhouette

Cut at the edges

Trimmed and erased

Untouchable

Undeniably... murdered

Peeled skin, peeled heart

A dry crust

Peeled from the earth

What oceans had flown beneath

No man will know

Since no man has touched

The untouchable

And now it's undeniably...lost

I got a very somber feeling reading this, it really touches the roots of our existence... excellent write that leaves you in a pondering state.

interesting topic the untouchable and your stripping it away layer by layer offers new meaning and understanding to the term. There is a depth here that will linger with me for days dissecting over and over in my mind. I love when something I read makes my mind work like this, thank you and Standing Ovation! Clap! Five out of five Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

I feel almost exposed, layer by layer, peeled... That, and a haunted silhouette is at my shoulder whilst reading this... Brutal turns of dark stirs... Miserably penned... Bravo'
