DEATH'S DOOR IS DRAWN

DEATH'S DOOR IS DRAWN

A Poem by Miss Sharon

DEATH'S DOOR IS DRAWN

Our time was too short...
Every couple I see,
Reminds me of you
And the mem'ries of "we".

I hear them speak love
Into each others ear,
And how my heart longs for
Your arms to be near.

When angels shall call me
To join you at rest,
I'll hold you and kiss you
And know I've been blessed.

I'll love you forever,
Though death's door is drawn.
And even though breaking....
My heart will go on.

I like the realistic feel and thoughts in the poetry.
"I'll love you forever,
Though death's door is drawn.
And even though breaking....
My heart will go on."
With death, kind love will still live and stand her ground. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I don't "get into" everyone's poetry, but this is outstanding. So easily embraced, I felt the sad longing and applied it to my own life.
