AND BE REMOTELY KIND

AND BE REMOTELY KIND

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Some words are meant to give you hope.....

"
     AND BE REMOTELY KIND

I hope these words are meaningful
To each and every one.
I set them on the page with light,
To greet the morning sun.

The words are meant to offer you
A different thought or phrase,
And then perhaps you too will see
The gentle poets' rays.

Some words are meant to give you hope
For better days ahead,
They are the ones I'd rather paint
Than others filled with dread.

But there are days that just don't fit
The image in my mind.
So do forgive them if you will...
And be remotely kind.

I really like the idea of being remotely kind, like thinking of someone, smiling and sending that smile as a happy thought to them. Perhaps that is why people come to mind in the strangest situations, like when you're in the middle of something routine and that face from a crowded scene pops into your mind that you hadn't thought of in years.
One thing is certain, it wouldn't do any harm for us all to try it a bit more.
Perfect rhyming and the softest of kind words.

This is an amazing & original message. I also try to be mostly positive in my writing, but sometimes we just have to break down & share something less-than-positive. I think it's a mark of our community of beautiful writers that most are willing to overlook our "off" days, our "off" poems & your final line is so well stated, about what it means when people try to be as kind as possible. Not long ago, someone commended me for being so nice as I told him I hated his poem. That's the kind of honesty & kindness your poem conveys, too! As always, great rhyme & rhythm! Such an uplifting write, Sharon. We all have to learn to show kindness to others in these tough times....to lend a hand when we can. Beautifully written...a compassionate piece. Lydi**

hopefully, optimism will help us avoid the black days and still appears to be one of our most effective tools against
A wonderful touch of warm and bright sunlight each morning doesn't hurt at all

Thanks so much Dave for your lovely and kind review! ~Sharon
right now the most difficult thing for us poets to do is write happy...as we stay behind masks and locked doors...but there has to be hope on the horizon...we will touch each other again...that day will come.

Yip, some days you go out in the sun and suddenly everything turns black.
I suppose that's life in the raw as we know it.
Soon the dark will go, and we'll be laughing again.
