BE SURE YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT

BE SURE YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Things done in secret may one day be revealed.

"
BE SURE YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT

Entering the home through an open window,
He made his entrance without noise or fault.
Shadows cast on the polished hardwood floors
Reminded him of his childhood home of neat
Cleaned perfection. The tempting smell of fresh
Brewed coffee reminded him of the many breakfasts
His mom made for him and his brothers. Making his
Way into the master bedroom, he was surprised to see a
Neatly made bed...there was no one in sight and no sound
From any room. He thought that rather odd...seeing that
The bedroom window from which he entered was fully
Opened, making his entry simple and without risk.
Making his way into the bathroom revealed the reason for
Silence in the home. Lying in the bathtub was a beautiful
Young woman with a knife in her hands and blood covering
The bottom of the tub.  Quickly he returned to the open
Window from which he had entered the home.  Waiting
For him there were two policemen who arrested him
For murder. So now you know why the title of this write is
BE SURE YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT.

an engrossing narrative poem sharon, reminiscent of murder-mystery shows I like to watch on TV.
ahh! but did he really commit the murder, or did he just find this scene during his break & enter, is the question.
yes sins ought to catch you out, but they don't always.
i like your poems because for me they're understandable.

Hi Sharon, I am watching Perry Mason at the moment, this would make a good case for him. I truly admire the way you set this whole piece up. Loved the ending. This is a powerful write, Sharon. Have a wonderful Friday. Hugs always....Mike.

This could be the plot of a movie! He was a cat burglar, but now he is arrested for murder....wow! Interesting how the home reminded him of his childhood home. Great story here. Lydi**

Power-packed vignette, showing a symbolic scenario that could stand for any number of ways we invade another person's space and then the repercussions torment us for a lifetime (((HUGS)))

Dear Sharon your poetry penned here with wonderful description and flow. A tale of intrigue. I would like to think that the perpetrators of evil crimes are held to account and punished Sadly though these days it seems often enough people can get away with it and do. Maybe they will get their just desserts in the next world. That however, is if no satisfaction at all to the friends and relatives of those whose loved ones have met an early and violent demise. They are traumatised for the rest of their lives. Your poem reminded me of the violent times in which we currently live. Always good to read you dear Sharon.
