IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE AND YOU HAVE LEFT

IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE AND YOU HAVE LEFT

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

My only daughter left home this Christmas eve.

"
IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE AND YOU HAVE LEFT

It's Christmas eve and you have left...
I don't know where you are.
We had a fight and you took off
In your old burnt red car.

I know I should not write like this,
But I am sick at heart.
Your brothers' dead, I am alone,
And wish I could depart.

Life is not fair they often say...
I know this to be true.
I pray each day that I would die,
But it is not my due.

I've tried to be a person who
Abides by all the rules,
But 'seems it does not pay at all
And I'm a losing fool.

So if you see me sitting here
Beside the beaten path,
Just say a prayer within your heart,
But please...please, do not laugh.

Writing is a catharsis for many of us. Dear Sharon, you bravely write your soul, and that is always allowed and appreciated. Your heartfelt poem here speaks to loss, regrets,-the sad part of the holidays and of life in general. Nothing to laugh about here. I am in this exact place so often, especially on certain holidays, milestones, and I empathize with your authentic emotions. We can't change the past, we can only accept and grow from it. You are a sweet, courageous, bright light here on WC and in your life. You have so much worth, integrity and so much to give the world. I'm sending love, prayers, huge hugs and blessings to you always and am proud to be your friend. Keep strong and keep writing brave Poetess!xo

So sad Sharon...I am so sorry to hear this. The time of festivity in my opinion is not always happy for all...love and light to you, I hope things turn around for you...

What a beautifully compassionate review! Thank you so much. ~Sharon
This is such a sad scenario....losing a son, and then feeling the loss of a daughter through friction as well.
I am so sorry, Sharon....hope she comes back soon.
