MY LOVE I SEND

Each day as I begin anew,
At once my thoughts will turn to you.
Sometimes I think I hear your voice...
And if I could, would be my choice.

But other times I see your smile,
And hear your laugh...then after while,
I think of many happy days
When I was blessed to watch you play!

Your loving ways and sharp keen wit,
Filled up each space...the room was lit.
Your light which filtered through my days
Kept me from living in a haze.

But since you've gone to other shores,
The tears have started...like before.
This broken heart may never mend,
But for today....my love I send.

Dedicated to the memory of my son RODNEY

I would pray for all that none should ever have to experience the loss of a child. I lost one of my best friends a few years ago and when I hugged his mother at his funeral she only said, "He was my baby, you're not supposed to have to bury your babies." He was the youngest in his family, survived by an older brother and sister. Your grief is palpable in this write. I am, indeed, very sorrowful for your loss. I pray God grants you consolation of the soul in the belief that you shall meet again someday on a distant celestial shore when your joy shall be restored at last. I think I've read Charles Dickens' A Child's Dream of Star a dozen times in my life and it always makes me cry but I always want to read it again because it is so full of hope in that it offers a view of eternity and heaven through that great author's eyes; where family meets again and all our woes and worries are forgotten. This was a sad and beautiful write.

a very beautiful eulogy to your son; such a tragedy to lose a child; it makes me sad just to think of it. So sorry for you Sharon; this is really from the heart; the words just flow out like petals of a rose.
Such a lovely note to post. Thanks for sharing.
Best, B
