THIS HERE LIFE

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Getting older is NOT for sissies!

"
THIS HERE LIFE

Too many days have called my name...
Too many nights in bed.
There's too much pain in life's refrain
And too many words lie dead.

The youngins speed right past my door
Like snowballs bent for hell,
And no one even SEES my door
Or ever rings the bell.

My closet's full of worn out clothes
But I don't even care.
'Cause here I sit without a thought
Of goin anywhere.

The long and short of this here life
Is but a game of chance...
Where things wear out and I am left
With holy underpants!
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ah...the golden years! LOL

dear Sharon… I feel like a Baby Grand Piano… I know I could make beautiful Music 🎶 if only I had a Tune-up… You are such a Tonic and I know you Play the Piano. I still collect old sheet Music… at Antique Stores… if only I could keep my fingers from Locking up. “The Older the Violin… the Sweeter the 🎼 Music” is my Motto..

Although there was humour here dear Sharon, there is also reality too. My aunt yesterday was telling me she has lived too many years, far longer than she should have done. Old age certainly isn't for sissies, especially when all the body parts decide to pack up. Always a treat to read you.

yes, it is very much like this....we get to the point where we do not have to leave the light on anymore.
Too many days...as you say.
