MEMORIES TO KEEP

Writing to remember.

I read to write and so proceed

To write because I've read.

It has been said that one who writes

Must read the words ahead.

And so I read before I write

To see just how it's done.

At first it's slow but soon will change...

The ink begins to run!

The words quick start to dance and play,

I scarce can write so fast!

The hours pass and when they're through,

I'm satisfied at last.

But not to fear...those words come near

And jolt me from my sleep.

It seems they have just ONE more thing

For memories to keep!

Well, I think perhaps you are dreaming first, and then you write which seem logical.... and if you remember your dreams, which many of us cannot, then the ink begins to flow... and dreams are memories....a lovely choice of words and rhyme.
