Lights in a WindStorm

Every soul has a light that can shine,

That is something I know.

God made it that way so we can see,

See people past their skin, their faces.

Some lights shine brighter than others,

Some have a very dull glow.

Others have no light at all.

As it was blown out in the wind.

What is the wind? You may ask.

It’s the wind that comes froms a far.

The wind of hatred, the wind of evil.

I see the wind blowing on the horizon.

You can not touch wind.

You can not see wind.

You can not smell wind.

You can only feel it.

I feel the wind all over me.

And i fight to keep my light shining.

Because my light is all I have,

It’s the gravity that keeps me here.

Others have let their light go,

And traded it in for darkness.

They no longer see their reflection,

Just an empty mirror of lies.

Sometimes I am overcome with fear,

For what is to come in this windstorm.

To fight, we must combine our lights.

Destroy the darkness and resist the wind.
