Paper Dove Wings

Paper Dove Wings

A Poem by Osephyr
"

Poem on the cycle of hate.

"

Paper dove wings

Carry the world of sin

With counterfeit tolerance

And progression which cues regression.

We guzzle our sweet wine of

Conceit and pride

Drunkenly spilling the nectar

Down our chins

Staining the fragile wings below.

Where we loath and utter profanity

Inwardly shunning those that shun others-

Flare our nostrils at those that flare theirs.

We bare arms and

Fight refined wars

Giving ourselves the much needed

Outlet for our hatred disguise as love:

We are the sovereignty that hides on top these

Paper dove wings.
