The "Le Temps" girl

The "Le Temps" girl

A Poem by OR
"

This is very personal poem, hope you like it :)

"
If life was nothing but a flashlight or a small glow
And love was nothing but a stormy weather or a huge flow

If by a miracle I was blind and now I can see
Because even without seeing your face you got into me

I know the words are too short and too crazy to say
But I'm not going to lose a moment of my life no way

Life is too short to lose it on regret
And love is a game, you're the bookie and I'm ready to place a bet

Between you and me there's a long way
Nothing to do, but much to say

I'm nothing but a fighter on a field
but for you I'll throw the sword and the shield

Read this and I'll live in your heart for a while
Then I'll die like a name dies on a lost file

Excellent work.. I really enjoyed this piece. To me, it was almost a comparison of sorts--a comparison of real love vs. fake love, in ways. It was short, sweet, and to the point--to use an old cliche--but it was exceptionally effective. The imagery was very real, very concrete, and easy to imagine. An excellent work.

Many wise statements in this poem.
"Life is too short to lose it on regret"
Life is accepting and missed opportunities. We look back in a life. We wish for things not said and done. A powerful poem. Thank you.

I really like how you combined the depth of this poem with a likeness such as "a lost file", it brings it down to a level that everyone can understand and it still conveys your emotion. great write!

This is really gorgeous and enjoyable to read, I'm quite impressed by the fact that despite english being your third language you are able to write like this:) Keep writing and posting you will get better and better, yay!

Wonderfully penned- I love the imagery and the different contrasting phrases. The rhythm is a bit shaky in some parts, but all in all, this is a great piece. Nice job. c:
