Desert Rose: Part 7

Desert Rose: Part 7

A Poem by PP

Walking wounded
The stranger collapsed.
In the middle of nowhere
All the secrets died.
Flesh decomposed
and mortal blood stunk.
Bones beneath the rot
slowly crumbled.
Soul trapped
In the awful-that remained.
to fight for release
it had no strength.
Wide awake
inside the dead carcass
was undying desire for life.
As the wind blew
from near and far
brought along debris and scar
Heaps of sand, rocks and gravel
Now bury the stranger -
with a dead body and living soul
- The secret of life it holds
Secrets that were never told before..
Centuries past and all the time bygone
Beneath the Desert - someone remained..
Introduction of a strange character in the Desert Rose series!

Sound like someone I wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley. Very vivid descriptions that put the character center stage in my mind.
