Loneliness Desired

Loneliness Desired

A Poem by Chrys_Pap

I enter the cavity of memories

closing my eyes to the present

making some steps to the past.

An old song fills the air with music

while I breathe in the smoke of my last cigarette

and I watch the rain leaving tears on my window.

What is right or what is wrong

can’t be answered by the pigeon

that tries to find shelter on the balcony.

On a day like this I desire to be left alone

carried away by the tranquility of this grey Sunday

leaving calls to be missed

leaving problems to be unsolved.

I want to sit still

and feel the black coffee warming my soul…

I want to sit still

and feel the grey smoke burning my burden.

I just sit and wonder…

Has this pigeon ever found his true love?

I just sit and wonder…

For whom does the rain shed her tears?

You describe an ideal setting for those times when the soul desires loneliness.
A marvelous tribute to reflective time alone. Well done, dear poet.
