The rain

The rain

A Poem by ParkerTheWriter

I've been waking up everyday,
I'm not sure that I like this,

I've been sleeping every day,
I'm quite sure this is what my life is,

The torture of reality,
the people, the pain,

I'm not sure why I hate the Summer,
but love the rain,

The way clothes cling to your body,
It's hugging you with the weight of moisture,

The collective sound of the drops, whether a whisper or a shout,
drowns out the noise of the fast paced life we live,

The whispers of the drizzling rain,
the faint sounds of 'I love you' entering your brain,

The rain is your friend,
your lover,
a cleansing sin,

About
I enjoy reading philosophy. It's become one of my favorite reading materials. I'm very politically minded, often thinking of the faults and f**k ups of the world rather than the positive things in fro.. more..
