Falling From Deep Space

Falling From Deep Space

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Falling From Deep Space

I have hung,

here amongst the stars,

abandoned to hate for decades.

Looking down on those who have it all,

thinking I was never to share such

divine providence.

It is a cold and empty space

where no light can penetrate.

Where loneliness is the only song sung.

But now a warm sun rises,

a new star is born

to unfreeze this universe

and melt it’s ice locked faith.

A sweet organic love now

spreads across my heavy heart

until I am so consumed

by your perfect smile

that I capitulate

and welcome your radiant truth.

Thank You Samantha!
I really 'felt' this one John, beginning was a killer, hate among the stars, you don't read that too often, that's money. Really hit the point home. 'Radiant truth'...ahhh, that's like a breathe of fresh air in and of itself. Excellent read my friend.

Thank you kindly Marc
I love your description of loneliness.. to be up in deep space, alone. Loneliness does indeed feel that way sometimes. And then along comes someone radiant like a sun and suddenly you are taking the deep plunge back to earth. I may have this all wrong, but ha! it's my theory and I am sticking to it! lol. Beautiful images and metaphors!

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
