Unthinkable!

Unthinkable!

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

"The worst thing [about] the conflict is the killing of others in the name of faith. Unthinkable.”-The Dalai Lama, Glastonbury, England, 28th June 2015

"

Unthinkable!

So Allah commands the death

of sunbathing tourists?

The killing of others in the name of faith?

It takes a deep psychosis

or psychopathic personality

to think so.

You who believe holidaymakers to be soldiers,

or the devils spawn,

are the scum of this earth.

Mentally deranged, soulless

devils.

You cannot claim martyrdom

for the slaying those laying

on sunbeds.

The Imperial Marhaba and Bellevue hotels massacre

of innocent civilians will be yet

another sin you have committed

in Gods name.

A black stain you will never

see upon your black hearts

as you wave black flags and banners

in celebration.

But Seifeddine Rezgui, you will not

feast upon your virgins

as Satan claims your soul

and drags you deep

into his hellish fire

where you will suffer,

as is just,

forever.

The world we live in today is nothing like the world I grew up as I child. I see no end to the madness, I think it will continue to get worse and worse. I hope not But I think that's what's going to happen.

Indeed we do Sereena. Many thanks.
This is terrfic. This is true-ghastly murders committed in the name of Almighty.Religion has become a controversial issue in this world. We have to think approximately 18 times or more,I guess ,before opening our mouths for the sake of faith or religion. But, one thing which I would like to make clear is that the terrorist group makes the use of a particular religion or their own in a bad way.But its up to us to believe that for one nasty person or a lot,the entire community should not be dragged into the scenario. They are as innocent and common as the majority like us,around.I don't like the idea of attacking people for their religion.Religion is not bad, some people are.And not even everyone. So I guess such a biasness should not be welcomed. This will only create distnctions. And in the eyes of Allah, everyone is equal.Plus,Allah's name is being misused to carry out such gruesome things.I loved the poem.It really is boisterous.Hell is waiting for this people eagerly.

The problem is that religion is always the excuse, for conflicts, the underlying causes are almost always land and resources. We've been screwing around in the middle east and stealing their resources for a very long time now, perhaps we have engendered hatred?

Such atrocities should not happen, but, as you say, they have done so since the dawn of time. It seems that mankind is unable to learn from the lessons of history and maybe, sadly, that is the way it will always be, that during our genetic programming the aberrant seed of eternal combat and confrontation somehow became implanted. What hope the world, when neighbours will come to blows over something as simple as a a garden fence being in the wrong place.

Impossible to to know what is best; to retaliate or turn the other cheek? Neither has worked so far, perhaps it's time for a second visit; but then again, look what happened last time.

On Sunday, our congregation made a special prayer for all those killed and their poor families.

Beccy.

It seems The world is reverting back to Barbarism.
Sadly, so many world leaders have turned a blind eye to those intent on destroying the good people.

And when a president tells the killers and kidnappers that it is ok for his citizens to pay ransoms,
it just opens the door to more violence and bloodshed, kidnapping and mayhem
All in the name of some sick perverted religion?

I am glad I will not have much longer on this planet.

Very true John, agree with your words, no one will reach heaven by murder and these people, well words cannot do justice to the horror that they create, just another terrible crime in the name of religion, very sad :)

I agree and would say a sad day for humanity, but this goes far beyond one day.
