Take Me!

Take Me!

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Our love is the deepest!

"

Take Me!

Take me to your breast

for there is nothing

for us in this pretence,

in this bow and courtesy

dance,

where we gaze

at fluttered eyelids,

long for lifted petticoats

but talk in half-truths,

veiled in the metaphors

of what-ifs and wherefores.

We write verse

but we are poetry.

We are romance

writ large on the moon,

we have the blessing of angels,

of Aphrodite and of Venus.

We cannot sow

this upon barren soil.

We cannot quell such swollen

seas, other than in a bed

of yearned for corporeal bliss.

A poet I know well, and I admire his work. This is a fine poem, with emotional closeness, a dance for two that moves out to all with a close relationship. So advise all, have a look at an excellent poem.

Gee John I had to go the the dictionary for a word lol but even if I did not there is no doubt the true intent of this beautiful poem to that very special lucky gal to receive your fiery words of irresistible invite, love it and what woman could help but -- thank you! ;)

Thank you so much Sammi!
No coquettish flirtations....just head straight for the prize! Your words are filled with desire and urgency. Lots of romance in the vocabulary! I liked it. Lydi**

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
