Wistful,

I wonder,

let my mind

play free.

 

I am tempted

but where

will this take us?

 

We stare

across the crowded

space,

an ocean of eyes

distant.

 

We swim

in warm

and sultry

wine,

 

a heady and

intoxicating mix.

 

I watch your

heaving breast

and know your

beating pulse

is flushed

with urgency.

 

Your milky skin

burns

to touch

and be touched

and I feel

the rise of

animal

passion

as you wink

and turn away.

Your poem makes me miss the 1970's when things were loose & easy & unpredictable like this, when we could start something & maybe finish it in the next gesture, back before attention-deficit had a diagnosis. Ah I wish I had been alert to the seventies and used them to grow. Instead i put my head down got serious, a career and a child lol. Many thanks Margie and hope you are still enjoying the 'flower power'!

I noticed that by mid-20's, everyone else was paired up & loaded down with responsibilities & heavy expectations from life. I was born on July 4th, which is independence day here, so I've had this feral streak from the get-go. The idea of being tied down & stifled has always made me a little crazy. But I admire those who could hack it!

yes..it is still good...I was 12 years old -I can remember--It was a big story in Israel he is a national hero

Yes I have seen documentaries about him previously. The most recent was on Al Jazeera a few weeks ago.

No it was very good and portrayed him as a hero and successful spy.
