Still Seeking Contentment

Life has dilemmas!

In a way I know

I haven't fulfilled my purpose,

for there are gaps

as wide as the Grand Canyon

in my heart.

Woah. I don’t know why but this poem means so much to me. It’s so good and the metaphor is just wonderful. I always have dreams about the Grand Canyon when I’m not feeling super content and that’s just a weird coincidence. Granted, I haven’t dreamt about the Grand Canyon in almost two months now, but it still hits home really hard for me.
