Holding Belief

Holding Belief

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Here and now we are lost!

"

Let me roar my frustration

as we head into a second

wave of lockdown.

As we are bludgeoned

into retreat.

Stay at home

or be swallowed up

by the anger

of populist

capitulation.

And yet we destroy

the economic

integrity of hope

thinking we are

saving lives?

When we are

simply

working

to imprecise

models

of living

and dying.
