Listening To Dust

Listening To Dust

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Came to me from the title of Jacobs most recent post!

"

Shooosh!

Can you hear it?

The sound of space,

the universe

as silent as stealth,

as quiet as a church.

But if you really listen

you can hear

an almost inaudible

sound.

A sort of background

shush,

a faint echo

of life

as it is sprinkled

across the cosmos,

forming the seeds

of creation.

An intriguing title. The phrases 'as silent as stealth' and 'aa quiet as a church's perfectly describe this sound which isn't a sound, a ghost of a sound, registering a human presence across the Universe.

Thank you Carola, glad you enjoyed it.
An inventive and engaging poem! The sound of silence can be deafening, if we listen intently enough! A well-penned piece!

Many thanks Frederick.
It's amazing how quiet the universe is, yet how loud the earth is. This poem speaks volumes about our cosmos. tyfs

Out of this world literally and metaphorically. Signs of life are all over the place even in space if we listen and observe. Excellent.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
