Without Your Love

Man cannot live on love alone but neither can he live without it.

How could I live if not for your love?

The sun and stars would cease to shine,
the moon refuse to rise
and clouds of white, never drift
and grace the open sky.

Storms would rage both day and night
and mountains would fall,
flowers wither and trees die gasping,
 for love's elusive call.

Without your love I am an empty shell
merely skin covering bones.
I need you beside me day and night,
when you are with me I am ‘home’.
