Monet's touches of Holland

Monet's touches of Holland

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Windmills of passion turn as flowers bloom against Cerulean skies of dreamy eyes...

"
A bridge overlooking lilly pads of
vibrant shades of melancholy...
where memories float in patterns
of events and galleries overflowing
with Rembrandt's art...

The fragrance of Paris and a
Lover's song along the river Seine...
where romantic art is displayed
of french cafes and forbidden
rendezvous... of the heart...

A very sensual and visual piece.....

Like many, i would like to go to Paris myself. I guess it is every poets dream to walk along the river side and sit and brood in a cafe, just like many great artists and writers that came before.

A very eloquent poem, blooming from a field of flowers. And yes, that is a very lovely painting!

Nice job of daubing pastel drops of imagery here & there, such that your writing style resembles the artist you're honoring in your poem, as one might imagine this painting style to be carried out! Your imagery is well-chosen & artistically described (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

My fathers people were from Holland. I painted him a picture of a windmill. This brought back memories of my father. Thank you. Valentine

I have sat on many an occasion in a cafe on the banks of the Seine and just watched and absorbed.

It's a fabulous place, where love seems in the very air, and you do it supreme justice with this perfect little capture.

The scene you embroider here is artsy and romantic, Pat. You touch on all the senses bringing the classics up to date and still oh so relevant. Lovely poetry....always. Lydi**
