Embracing romance when sapphire skies 

glow with sunlight sighs ... 

holding rapture in your heart with 

kisses softly spent... 

Moments of falling blossoms under 

boughs of sacred vows when 

promises are sealed in sweet refrain 

in the afternoon softly falling rain...

California has been getting its share of wind and rain, even our temps at night have been in the lower thirties. With all the talk of the polar vortex overtaking much of the country, I imagine spring will never arrive soon enough. This is soooo very cool! I've been trying to get my mindset around the upcoming holiday, but I've never been much of a romantic. I mostly love your word sounds: "sapphire skies" & "sunlight sighs" . . . "sacred" "sweet" "softly" "sealed" . . . all those "ssss's" are amazingly ssssssimilar to the sprinkles that have been lightly pitter-pattering on my cabin roof for days (with some roaring interludes). The best word in your whole poem is the last one. That adds a gazillion to the heartfelt meter (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
