Reborn in a Summer Storm

Reborn in a Summer Storm

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

That feathery feeling when

your eyes draw me in like

the wind on a Summer day...

Caressing the scent of spices

in a meadow sweet...

When flowers bloom in the

embrace of a thunder storm

I am reborn...

yes, it is a feathery feeling isn't it?
when another's eyes can draw us in...i have always been an "eye" person...most important feature.
and i like how you mix the images of the violent thunderstorm with rebirth and the flowers loving it and growing from it.
just like humans who grow from the storms in their lives.

oh man Pat ..i sure channeled this poem this morning ... i took my dog Beauregard out around 2 AM (i am an early riser) and when i do that so many times the scent in the air absolutely takes me to so many good places in memory ... when that ozone of a summer storm is on the wing it is wonderful ...and what a gift it is, to be drawn into such blessed peace and comforting love by another's eyes ... loved the experience reading your poem gave me ... i read it out loud first off .. very natural flow says i!
