Neville the Kookaburra Bird

The serious eyes of a Bird with courage...

He sits on a branch and observes his world 

where Koala Bears are growing extinct... 

They have been his closest friends through 

thick and thin... in fowl wild weather and 

sunshine blue sky days with smiles... 

He wonders why there needs to be Love  

when the prospect of living is dismal.  

But hope is free for the asking and therefor 

he will continue waiting for a Valentine Quill 

to pen him a Love Song by Neil Diamond...

Aw gawsh me lovely... what can a geezer say.. blushing from top to toe.. just got mistaken for a post box by the side of the road... rushed back to tell ya about it but got stopped on the way and someone wanted to use me to ring home..... must have got me confused with a telephone box.. dear Christine... you are so kind... I hope Neville has not been affected by the fires in Australia. It is so sad that homes have been lost, and also the wild life lost... Not the fires in Australia Pat, more likely the storms in the UK. He lives in the west country. However having said that, all of us with a heart are upset by the loss of life to the animal kingdom and our feathered friends. It is a huge tragedy. Most tend to think of the human loss first. dearest Julie... thank you for your kind review. When Neville reviewed one of my poems recently, he mentioned that he felt like a Kookaburra Bird... so I googled the bird and copied an Image that I placed at the top of my poem. It is amazing how many beautiful birds with colored feathers there are around the world. We live in the USA in the State of Virginia 60 miles from the U.S. Capitol where our History is kept and made... close to the White House where the President presides. We have mostly Cardinals and Blue Jays, as well as Blue Birds... but no Kookaburra Birds. We do have Hummingbirds and
black and white Chickadees, and many other birds that I write about. Google Images had this photo I used as being in Australia, and of course Neville mentioned the Kookaburra Bird to me previously, himself. Best wishes and be safe. tenderly, Pat
