His Treasure

His Treasure

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

A golden pocket watch ...

"
I flutter with the break of day with alarm

A golden chain entwines his heart to mine...

The seconds and moments of eventide

where stars abide with Venus the Evening Star

The Moon when sleep wonders in Valleys deep...

and kisses the atmosphere where

pleasures lie in clouds of wistful woes...

' .. moments of eventide .. where stars abide with Venus the Evening Star '

Yes, dear Pat, dear petal.. that's the space between then was and now is. I think of it is a little extra peace, whatever life has been or will be. Such beautiful words and, unless wrong, words i feel every morning when i draw back the curtains and see.. space in all its treasures

This reminds me of certain watches I have seen with moon and stars on the faces and the phases of the moon marked for the months. An enchanting write.

The romance in this is splendid. We must all treasure the hours....and be grateful for the chain that binds us to another. Truly your words are magical and hint at the fact that even when all is not peaches and cream, there is still a reason to smile. Lydi**

A golden watch keeps us grounded in real moments and treasures to behold. Everything He created has purpose and value. It is amazing the knowledge God provided man within and without to unlock His secrets and reveal His mystery.

I love line 2 . . . so creative & starting your flowing metaphor with a snazzy TICK-TOCK !!! I love how your lines seem to drape like a golden chain, being drawn closer & closer to the heart of the matter . . . that is, a romantic seduction done thru fluttering hands & seesawing inner wheels. Time is the biggest seduction of all . . . the one willing to spend the time is the one who's love is deeply felt (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
