Snow covered Branches sighing with Sunshine

Snow covered Branches sighing with Sunshine

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

Chickadees  are soft as Snow with sunshine smiles.

as they sit perched on morning mists of dreams well spent...

Christmas songs have all been rendered when Nat King Cole

crooned Chestnuts on an Open Fire... we conspire together...

Colored lights trim the Rooftops where sleigh bells play

Silver Bells... it's Christmas time in the City where

people danced around Macy's windows with fashions

for a beautiful Lady... A Happy New Year to be Brave and well...

Special words from you, Pat., as ever always. However, they seem to me to be a touch pensive, to remind us of a calm space from glorious and holy theatre, to the could be wild reel of midnight if bit at all enjoyable year past. You've hinted at the colourful perhaps as a reminder that that is what it should have been, rather than what it was. Perhaps i've misinterpreted in which case, will re. review and willingly...

Those wonderful Christmas melodies....Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby crooning the oldies. They never go out of style. Macy's fancy decorations and snow in the streets. This year there are not many walking in the streets of New York....lockdowns prevent it. We have to hope that next year will be better. the imagery in your words is so lovely, Pat. Happy New Year, my friend. Lydi****

Your poem feels like a sparkling swishing ribbon that goes from nature sights to city lights, tracing a lyrical trail thru some holiday classics as a memorable soundtrack to your holiday scribble! Love your note of uplifting hope & cheer, much needed as we cast off the old cloak of 2020, donning new threads & a new attitude. Here's wishing you a happy new year that's as bright as the messages you share in verse, all year long! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Is there anything better than Bing or Nat singing Christmas songs. Your words always flow with such ease, I can hear the flow of your speech. I love that you tell the reader to be brave. For greatness and courage comes during a crisis
