Such great advice Pat; in fact, that is one of my FAV fruits! we used to grow them, but mostly the birds got to them before we did, but it was still fun. You must be the healthiest human on earth!! your poems are so pure; you sense what's healthy, plus you are an expert on flowers, birds, etc. you must be a great cook too!!!! Thanks Betty for a Great review... I used to be a good Cook... but as we get older there are so many things we cannot eat with my husband taking dialysis and I get Gout from tomatoes and Seafood. The Secret is to eat well and enjoy while you are Young. I can eat fruit and some other things in moderation. Be well and eat wisely... Pat

dearest Em... Smoothies are a Cool drink... we have both had our Vaccine for COVID ... now we Pray for all the children and good people who cross into our Country. I wish our Government would Build Orphanages and provide Caretakers for the Children. Please pray that somehow this could be done. They could also be used as a hospitals in the future.. so a good Investment. Please Pray that this could be done.

enjoy Blueberries 🫐 in your Grandma’s yard. My Grandma had Grapes in her yard and made homemade Jam to be spread on homemade Bread.

I'm definitely hooked on blueberries, altho I can't seem to grow them. I'm on my 4th bush (blooming now, there will be some blueberries this year!), but there's something about my location they don't like. Other berries do great in my hot dry climate! Before my various blueberry bushes went downhill, however, I did have a few amazing harvests over the years.

To me, there's nothing like being out in the garden, puttering & watering & weeding, passing by a berry bush, spotting something bright & beckoning, leaning, leaning to reach it . . . picking & eating on the spot. I've posted pictures of my berries on FB many times & people always say: "oh! so good with whipped cream" or "bake a pie!" But for me, the whole reason to grow berries is to eat them right off the bush. There's nothing like it. Thank you for taking me on this mental reverie as I eagerly await my enormous raspberry bush to begin pumping some action just outside the window where I sit at this computer, eyeing the bushing-out progress daily! So few words in your poem have taken me such delicious places! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I have about a hundred strawberry plants which are blooming like crazy & I saw my first slightly red berry yesterday!!!!

Okay, I have to butt in. My b-day is July 4th (I'll be 65 soon) . . . my favorite b-day cake ever, my mom made a huge sheet cake (carrot w/cream chz frosting) & brought it to my workplace for everyone to share. The top was done up as the American flag in blueberries & strawberries.
