Marquerite a gorgeous Hummer

Marquerite a gorgeous Hummer

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

July Fourth fireworks in colours bright spray the Sky ...

"
On the Western side of our Country in California

there lives a quaint feathery Lady who sprays and

bathes with the Mountain Hummers...

She grows Artichokes and skinny dips them

into a seductive dressing...

Styled like a Wild Mountain Cat ...

She prefers her Dogs who growl at the Moon...

Wishing our Barley Girl Margie a Beautiful

Fourth of July Birthday when she first

made an appearance as the Sky burst into

a Star Spangled Banner of the

Land of the Free and the Brave...

Amen and many more...

A beautiful gift to Margie, whom we all miss at the Cafe. And, I love the way you weave you words together to make a perfect poignant Happy Fourth to a friend. It's so elegant and colorful.
Great! Best,
and truly yours, B.

Not everyone is so lucky to find that freedom to be who you are is a far better way to be than chasing what we are told makes us happy, wealth and consuming until we burst. I do hope that she keeps on keeping on, the only way she knows.

Nice poem, Pat. It would be nice if she was back but I can understand her decision. The jackels are still roaming around here more than ever.
