Chickadees and Red Berries

Chickadees and Red Berries

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

As Summer simmers in the setting Sun....

we dream of a World where Peace abides

side by side with Immigrants side by side ...

Red berries dance on sunlit branches

where Chickadees chatter becomes

part of our every day laughter...

So many young families with children

looking for Shelter and Love...

Birds of a Feather flock together as we

realize that our Father in Heaven is in charge...

Dear Pat, second attempt at leaving a response. We are all birds of a feather in the overall picture. Sadly though there is division and we have to understand that those divisions have to be worked on. Healing and understanding don't always come naturally. They take time.

This is the most peaceful & non-contentious political statement I've EVER read! Yippee! Yahoo! Yabba-dabba-dooo! This makes my heart sing. You totally nailed it. So much of every political debate is simply OPINION. When we strip that away, all that's left is leaving it to God. Yes. That's the best answer & I love how you see such answers in some simple scene like birds & berries. I have a lovely piece of artwork showing a bird in a watercolor swoosh of berries . . . I've been cogitating upon it for a week, on my desktop, waiting for the perfect poem. I'm channeling you & your feathery vibes, in order to locate the message, the way you do, seeing an answer on a berried branch. Thank you for sharing your spirited poetry & your birdie inspiration (((HUGS)))

A lovely piece of writing Pat. It is a reminder of Eden and the eternal peace that reflects its providence. It shimmers in this world if one but only opens their eyes and heart to it. To welcome and accept one another in brotherhood. Only than will this world be a better place as you so eloquently describe. Thank you for sharing your lovely hopeful poem.
