When Earth becomes a Bed of Roses

When Earth becomes a Bed of Roses

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

The soft raindrops have brought an early Spring...

"
The day before Easter, the flowers danced where violets and roses slept...
and Robins kept their presence as Hyacinth and Hydrangea wept for the
lost Souls in faraway Ukraine who passed beyond the early dawn.
We will gather the Rose Buds left on Earth like Children on the Cusp of
a New World where Love will conquer all Fears and Tears will persuade
the Birds and Bees to pollinate all the Fruit that grows on trees for all
Humanity... near and far to the Corners of the World.  A Blessed Easter
where We are One World in a Chorus of Chopin and the Rising Sun ...

Forever, Amen

Beautiful words and the Robin...
Mum said she'd come back as a Robin after she passed just to make sure I was behaving, even though I was 58 at the time. The first Robin seen after her death brought unexpected tears :)
Good morning Patricia, enjoyed reading you

Nice work Pat. I think the world is a better place without man sadly. How animals would rejoice. The moon's barrenness reflects what we will achieve in the future. We cannot continue and even our sun will burn out one day leaving all our writes unread.

What a great world you describe and it should be like this.. unfortunately it isn't... some parts of the world are in chaos, people dying by the thousands who can't hear a bird sing, or see a flower bloom... we must all pray for these souls who are brave and resilient. Perhaps some day they will enjoy a sunny spring day.
Lovely.
Best, B

If only our world would be such. Your poem is a wonderful lead into Easter and reference to all the beautiful souls that were lost in Ukraine so touching. The only way I can bear to even think about it is to imagine them in that better place you speak of. As always such a pleasure to read you Pat. I hope you have a very happy Easter!

Your title is one of great beauty as well as of love Pat. Wouldn't it be wonderful to live in a world without conflict? Your arms spread wide like a warm embrace across our planet. We can but hope, though in the meantime I find some solace in the natural environment. Your poems always bring me that comfort because I know you love nature as much as I do. I particularly love your first stanza and your thoughtfulness. Happy Easter Pat to you and yours.
