Golden Moments of Summer

Golden Moments of Summer

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Goldfinches rest on Sunflower petals as Bumble Bees buzz by...

"
The Art of Butterflies against the morning Sky as
the Sunrise brings shades of Lavender blue...
The melodies of Bird songs fill the atmosphere as
the enchanting Woodpecker adds the Base Drum of
Eternity and the Cymbals clash with the flash of
Humming Birds looking for Nectar from a tiny cup.
Breezes sweep through the Sycamore trees where
Love is breaking the blue shells where baby birds emerge...
And all is Well where Honey Bees dwell in Hives
among the Children running through Streams of
bubbling Brooks and Dragonflies with green eyes...

What spectacular moments of summer you show us Pat; I love the way you show the birds, not only singing but mating as well; and the honey bees, so important for the nourishment of our blooming flowers...and let's not forget that old woodpecker, playing the base and not skipping one beat on the drum....my fav are all the sweet hummingbirds flitting around to fine their sweet nectar.... in all a beautifully written poem about mother earth.

You are welcome my dear friend.
Your poems are golden indeed like those golden moments in nature where you capture their essence of beauty and sweetness.
Passing through to say a hello to a good friend.

So true and well said. You are welcome in peace and troubled times.
I have several base drums outside my house in the mornings...they chorus with the cardinals and the cicadas and the rustling of the trees.
Isn't it grand to live where nature can play for us during the summer months?
but when they go away for winter...the theater is so empty...
